Our Values

We are passionate about design, supporting traditional crafts and artisans and this is reflected in the hand-crafted gates and interior doors, hand painted pool terrace tiles and the striking calçada entrance and pavement area. Art and travel are important to us and throughout Casa Jóia you will see art from many different parts of the world, including Portugal. We hope you decide to stay with us and will do our very best to ensure you have a great experience and create some special memories……..

Hi! I’m Sheena and a professional property designer and developer. I love to travel and enjoy the home from home feeling and special touches when staying in a holiday rental. I am a creative soul who loves art, architecture and design and hope you will enjoy the art we have curated and our creative style & local artisan touches as much as we do – feel free to take photos to share with your friends on social media!  My passion for food and love of cooking have influenced the kitchen designs, so please use them and enjoy your time at Casa Jóia 😊

Hi! I’m John and a professional host with a background in carpentry, tiling & building. We spent 3 months building the gardens at Casa Jóia and am very proud of the outcome, relax and enjoy the surroundings, this is my favourite space.  I am absolutely in love with the beautiful Algarvian climate and coastline as well as the wonderful English countryside around Woburn & Stratford Upon Avon and am lucky enough to live between both. I am passionate about sports, am a keen golfer and love to travel. Our main focus is to make your stay feel like a home from home, to be relaxing and perfect! We love designing beautiful homes, and you will find lots of special touches to make your stay memorable. Check us out and let us help you create lasting memories! Any questions?……just ask. Hi! I’m Jane and am a professional host with a long background in hotel management and hospitality and have worked for some of the worlds’ top hotels. I speak both English and Portuguese fluently. I enjoy travelling, meeting new people and am passionate about helping our guests make the most of their holiday time in the Algarve. I have a wealth of local knowledge and can offer additional concierge services, like organising welcome packs, picnics, days out, boat trips, catering services, transportation etc, just ask, I’ll be delighted to help!
